3.3 Lighting Analysis
The Lighting Analysis render element allows you to accurately measure light light levels in a 3D scene.
- Let’s add it from the render elements list
- Before starting render you might want to go through your glass materials and set the refraction “Affect channels: All”. This way you will be able to have information in the lighting analysis for areas that are behind glass objects
- Press render and wait until the image is relatively noise free
- Take a look at the “VRayLightingAnalysis” render element
- At this point it doesn’t give a lot of information
- We need to adjust its range to gather more details
- Simply click “Update…” button to recalculate the lighting analysis
- There is one more way to display the data - check “Grid overlay”
