Overview

The V-Ray Quick Settings dialog is a handy way to control the most common aspects of the renderer and to quickly switch between different GI solutions and quality settings. It is intended to give new V-Ray users the ability to set up scenes without worrying about all the different V-Ray options available in the Render Settings window.

Custom Presets

Clicking on the Manage Presets button allows you to save the current settings into the V-Ray presets file or to load a previously saved preset. You can select which parts of the V-Ray settings are saved into or loaded from the preset. The Quick Settings are also saved into and loaded from the presets.

Notes

  • The Use local subdivs setting in the DMC Sampler rollout of the VRay Render Settings tab is evaluated by the V-Ray Quick Settings. If disabled (the default), Brute Force subdivisions will be handled automatically by V-Ray, and changing the BF subdivs in the Quick Settings window will not be possible.
