This page provides information about the V-Ray Material Output node in V-Ray for Houdini.
This node collects various shader nodes. It gives you control over which shader will go in the render output.
||mat Network|| > V-Ray > Material > V-Ray Material Output
||out Network|| > V-Ray Render Elements node > V-Ray > Material > V-Ray Material Output
||out Network|| > V-Ray Environment node > V-Ray > Material > V-Ray Material Output
The vrayMaterialOutput node offers only input slots for the Material, Surface or Simulation shader. There are no output slots in this node.
The following parameters are available only when the V-Ray Material Output node is opened in the V-Ray Material Builder.
Texture and Mapping
Show Texture – This option is enabled by default. It allows any attached textures to be visible in the viewport.
UV Attribute – The name of the UV attribute that Houdini uses to show the texture in the viewport.
Texture Path – The node path of the texture as relative reference should be entered here in order for the V-Ray ViewportTex SOP to be used. This way all UV changes attached in the imagefile node are visible in the viewport.
