Section Library

V-Ray Curvature

Samples the underlying mesh for curves.

V-Ray Dirt

Simulates dirt in crevices and can produce ambient occlusion maps.

V-Ray Distance

Returns a different color based on a point's distance to a specified object.

V-Ray Edges

Creates a wire frame effect.

V
-Ray Falloff
Produces a grayscale map based on angular falloff.

V
-Ray Fresnel
Blends two maps based on the angle of view and an index of refraction.

V-Ray Hair Variation

Used to vary shading properties along hair strands.

V-Ray Layered

Merges or composites textures using blend modes or texture masks.

V-Ray Multi Sub

Distributes multiple textures to different objects based on IDs or randomization.

V-Ray PTex

Allows PTex textures to be used with V-Ray.

V-Ray Ray Switch

Enables different textures to be used when viewed through Shadows, GI, Reflections, and Refractions.

V-Ray Softbox

Can be used with V-Ray Area Lights to create soft box illumination.

V-Ray Triplanar

Enables quick assignment of 2D textures on object lacking suitable UV coordinates.
