This page gives an overview of the Material render elements that may be generated through V-Ray and how they are used in compositing.
The Render Elements in this group provide information on the materials rendered in the scene, which is useful for adjusting the render with such things as base color, amount of reflections, the roughness of reflections, and the amount of refractions in each surface as set in its material.
The following material render elements are supported by V-Ray for Modo:
- Diffuse Coefficient | Diffuse Filter – Renders the colors and textures used in scene materials, flatly applied to objects with no lighting information.
- Reflection Coefficient | Reflection Filter – Renders colors and values that represent the amount of reflection on each surface rendered in the scene.
- Roughness | Reflection Roughness – Renders a scene as a grayscale image that represents the roughness amount for each surface in the scene.
- Transparent Color | Refraction Filter – Renders colors and values that represents the transparency of surfaces rendered in the scene, independent of any lighting or shading.
