Overview


The V-Ray Bercon Wood Texture map can be used to generate a procedural wood texture. It uses three customer colors or texture maps, and gives a choice of four wood pattern types.

Parameters


 


 

 

Color 1 (map) – Controls the the first of the two main colors of the wood grain produced by the V-ray Wood procedural texture. This channel can be either drive by a value or a texture.

Color 2 (map) – Controls the the second of the two main colors of the wood grain produced by the V-ray Wood procedural texture. This channel can be either drive by a value or a texture.

Grain Color same as Color 2 – Will set the Grain Color to be the same as Color 2.

Grain Color (map) – Controls the color of the wood grain produced by the V-ray Wood procedural texture. This channel can be either drive by a value or a texture.

Seed – The seed value used to generate the procedural texture, changing this value will give different variations in the pattern.

Wood Type – Controls the pattern of the wood type. Choose from Radial Wood, Perlin Wood, Simplex Wood and Linear Wood. For more information, see the Wood Types example below.

Size – Controls the the procedural textures size.  

Low – Controls the amount of large feature details.

High – Controls the amount of smaller feature details.

Skew – Controls how Color 1 and 2 are blended between different "age rings" of the wood.

Width Variation – Controls the amount of width variety in the width of the wood grain.

Gain Variation – Controls the amount of gain variety in the width of the wood grain.

Trunk Wobbie


Strength – Controls the strength of the Trunk.

Frequency  – Controls the frequency of the Trunk wobble.

 

Radial noise


Strength  – Controls the strength of the radial distortion.

Frequency – Controls the frequency of the radial distortion.

Z Frequency – Controls the radial z frequency of the radial distortion.

 

Angular Noise 


Strength – Controls the strength of the angular noise.

Frequency – Controls the frequency of the the angular noise.

Radius – Controls the radius of the angular noise produced.

 

Grain


Amount – Controls the amount of grain produced in the texture.

Frequency – Controls the frequency of the grain produced in the texture.

 

Distortion


Use Distortion – When checked this will allow a texture map to be used in the Distortion channel to control  and produce distortion.

Distortion (map) – Channel that a texture can be connected top to add distortion to the produced V-Ray Wood procedural texture.

 

Super Sampling


Samples – Samples used tor super sampling the produced texture.
