Overview


The V-Ray Ray Switch texture gives a material a different color or texture when it is viewed through Shadows, GI, Reflections and Refractions. In the example shown here, a solid color was set for each channel of the V-Ray Switch Texture. The Default tex was set to red, the Shadow rays tex was set to green, the GI rays tex was set to blue, the Reflection rays tex was set to pink and the Refraction rays tex was set to yellow.

Parameters


 


 

 

Default tex – The color or texture that is seen through the camera.

Shadow rays tex – The color or texture used when it's being sampled with shadow rays.(Shadow rays are used to determine whether a point is being illuminated by a light source.)

GI rays tex – The color or texture used when it's being sampled with GI rays.

Reflection rays tex – The color or texture that's visible in reflections.

Refraction rays tex – The color or texture that's visible in refractions.
