Overview


 

The V-Ray Asset Browser incorporates four tabs standing for the different V-Ray assets types provided in Revit: Material Map, Global Materials, RPC Proxies and V-Ray Fur.

Asset Browser


The Asset Browser window contains the following tabs:

 

  • Material Map – Allows you to replace the standard Revit materials with simple colors, simple textures, or more powerful and versatile V-Ray materials. For a gallery of all the available V-Ray materials, see the Preset Material Library page.
  • Global Materials – Provides controls for unmapped materials and material overrides.
  • V-Ray Proxy – Opt to replace the standard Revit RPC models with more advanced and optimized V-Ray Proxies.
  • V-Ray Fur – Use V-Ray Fur to create procedural fur or grass in your scene.
