Overview


V-Ray Interactive is an interactive rendering engine for Rhino. To start using V-Ray Interactive, you can left-mouse-click the Interactive button from the main Asset Editor. You can always toggle the V-Ray Interactive renderer by clicking the Interactive switch in the Renderer rollout.

You can start V-Ray Interactive rendering directly in Rhino's viewport. Change a viewport's display mode to V-Ray Interactive to see updates of the scene to rendered image. 

 

Initializing Render


The V-Ray Interactive render can be started from the V-Ray Asset Editor by choosing the option from the Renderer rollout menu.

Raytracing


The available parameters for the Raytrace rollout change between the default Basic Settings mode and the Advanced Settings mode. For more details on the parameters in this section, please see the Raytrace Settings page.

 

 

Raytrace Basic
The Basic Settings view shows the most commonly used options from the Raytrace rollout needed for performing basic tasks.

 

Raytrace Advanced
The Advanced Settings view shows all available parameters that allow more advanced workflows.

 

 



Notes


  • When V-Ray GPU (CUDA) in enabled, some features are not fully supported. See the Supported Features page for more information.
