This page provides information on how to render a material from a .vrscene file.
When importing .vrscene files, all materials are analyzed and optimized for real-time. However, the original material parameters are stored as metadata, which can be accessed at render time. This feature allows switching between rendering the material that was set in Unreal Engine and the material that is stored in the .vrscene file. This approach opens the possibility to use various and more complex materials that were created outside Unreal (e.g. Blend materials, Carpaints, Subsurface materials, etc.).
To use this feature, right-click on the material in the Content Browser you wish to override at render time and choose Render material from .vrscene.
Render material from .vrscene OFF - The Unreal material will be used in the render.
Render material from .vrscene ON - The original material from the imported .vrscene will be used at render time.
Render materials from .vrscene OFF - When you have multiple materials selected, the Unreal materials will be used in the render.
Render materials from .vrscene ON - When you have multiple materials selected, the original materials from the imported .vrscene will be used at render time.
