Basic V-Ray Render Elements in Modo give access to Z-Depth and Velocity information to use in post-processing with compositing, such as setting the scene's depth of field and adding post motion blur.

The following Basic Render Elements are supported by V-Ray for Modo:

  • Depth | Z Depth – Controls the channel settings for the Depth / Z Depth Render Element. This is defined as how far an object is from the render camera.
  • Motion Vector | Velocity – Controls the channel settings for the Motion Vector / Velocity Render Element. This is defined by the speed and motions of an animated object.
