V-Ray adds extra V-Ray parameters on a per-camera basis to every Modo camera. Many Modo native parameters can be overridden including camera type and settings for field of view (FOV), motion blur, stereoscopic, and clipping plane functions for the scene. The V-Ray camera rollouts appear in a camera's Camera Effect tab below the Modo native rollouts.
For details on these options, see the V-Ray Camera page.
Adding the V-Ray Physical Camera package to a camera is the most direct way to add specific V-Ray functionality to a Modo camera. These options include real-world camera settings such as F-stop, shutter speed, ISO film speed, Bokeh effects, distortion, motion blur, and depth of field. It can also control horizontal/vertical tilt and white balance, and the shutter type can be customized to simulate a still, movie or video camera.
For information on how to add a package, see the Extra Packages page. For details on physical camera options, see the V-Ray Physical Camera Settings page.
Additional tools that are useful for camera work outside of V-Ray for Modo are automatically installed in the bin folder during installation. For more details on these tools, see Camera Tools and Utilities.
